What’s the Best Vision Insurance?

Unless you’re getting vision coverage through your employer, there’s often not a lot of variation in coverage. We recommend checking to make sure your favorite vision boutique or optometrist accepts your plan before purchasing.

Both EyeMed and VSP vision insurance plans are very affordable, and still include great benefits.

EyeMed vs VSP: What's the Difference?

The primary difference between EyeMed and VSP is the pricing and network.

What Providers are in the EyeMed Network?

EyeMed offers a wide variety of in-network providers nationwide, including Lenscrafters, Pearle Vision, Target Optical, Sears Optical. You can search the EyeMed Provider Finder to find one near you.

What Providers are Part of VSP Vision Network?

With over 36,000 providers, VSP has the largest independent eye care provider network in the United States, including Visionworks, Pearle Vision, Accuvision, Walmart, Costco, Rosin Eyecare, MyEyeDr, and EyeCare Centers.

To find a VSP provider, use the VSP Eye Doctor Locator.

Does VSP Pay for Designer Frames?

VSP’s frame allowance applies toward the cost of any frames available at in-network providers, but you will have to pay the difference between the retail price and the benefit for more expensive frames. Learn more>>
